Work with Leslie
Let’s create a partnership
Working with Leslie Wolfe Creative is super easy! I can help with awesome content marketing, integrate social media to engage customers, design professional marketing collateral, maintain your website, start a blog, create some really cool logos + branding collateral and whatever else you might need!
I find the best way to work, is to listen to you; my client and strategize graphic design services based on your needs and goals. I have in place, certain protocols to make the creative process smooth and pain free. Your business is important to me and it’s my mission to create effective, functional and professional branding and communications that achieve results.
Creative process – working together
Initial Consultation for design services
Let’s meet! The initial consultation is free. During our meeting, I ask a lot of questions. My goal is to find out your goal. Maybe you are a start-up, or maybe you represent a small local business seeking to outsource some overflow work. I don’t talk you into anything. I simply listen and devise a visual marketing strategy for you.
Once we settle on the graphic design work you need accomplished, I provide a written quotation and contract so you know the approximate cost before starting. I’m super easy to work with because I’m up front with all charges. I offer package deals or work on an hourly fee. In our agreement, I estimate the hours, completion date and submit my fee, Following a signed agreement, we collect all the materials needed (images, passwords…etc). I then schedule your project.
You will be required to provide me with all textual content and images unless you have hired me for writing or photographic services (in which case you own all those rights). Please do not submit any graphics that you do not own or have rights to. Please note that all graphics for print MUST be high resolution.
As part of the creative process, I present to you a creative board with color palettes, fonts and design elements to work with. These are suggestions and nothing is set in stone. It’s a way to get the juices flowing and finalize our creative thoughts.
I will need to contact you and get feedback. Your participation is imperative. I use Asana throughout the entire process so we can stay organized, up-to-date and know who is responsible for what. If you plan to be unavailable for a time, we will need to adjust the completion date.
Nearing the completion date, I will furnish proofs for you to sign. These deliverables will be the actual (live) look and no different. Feel free to edit anything you like, even if it’s the tiniest change. We want to get it right! I am not bothered at all by meticulousness. My hourly rate does apply. I never publish anything without written consent from you.
It’s go time! Your final design piece is finished. I will require your balance before any deliverables go live.
Billing / Pricing
I charge $100 per hour and require a 50% (estimated) deposit upon signed agreement, and bill monthly until project completion.
A little blurb about me
A little about me? I love designing on the computer. In fact, it’s hard to get me to stop. Learning about code and building creative designs is a passion. How did I get here?
I hold a bachelors degree in Economics from Colorado State University. What the heck? Yes, that’s right. I originally thought my math skills were best suited for the stock market and financials. My creativity became a back burner and although I loved it, I never had any confidence with my artwork…but deep down I knew that was my true passion.
I worked for a financial company for a while and every day on the way to work I spent a considerable amount of time looking at a specific logo on a building. Behind the scenes, I recreated that logo and many more. I began to get inquiries from friends for design concepts and the like. I realized that there is no “wrong” design and my confidence grew.
Off to art school I went. Did you ever hear the track Art School Girl from Stone Temple Pilots, “…I got an art school girlfriend, yeah…” well that’s all I heard from friends at the time. LOL, good times. I found my happy place. This is where I belonged. Having two jobs and going to school again was no easy task. Here I come loans.
Following my art degree, I gained some really valuable experience working for a radio station. This incredibly fast paced and crazy environment prepared me for a career in graphic design and marketing. When I look back, marketing efforts were so different! No social media!
I continued my corporate career at Swisslog as the youngest employee for a time. It was there that I really found my niche. My corporate position allowed me to create websites, branding, white papers and marketing collateral of all kinds. I traveled with the graphics I created for company tradeshows and even tried my hat at selling within these trips. I’m grateful for all the exposure my manager gave to me. I still contract with Swisslog today.
After having a family, tragedy struck my life. I took some years off. The creativity wasn’t there.
I began contract work full force again circa 2014. The communications industry had changed so much. I continue to try to gain back that valuable lost time in terms of technology. Learning code has been my passion for furthering my education, and the creativity? It’s flowing again!
If your so inclined, you can download my Graphic Design Resume.
If I’m not at my desk, you’ll find me with my kiddos, or running with my dogs, especially if the sun is shining (and here in Colorado…the sun is usually shining!).
I could live on french fries (in case you wondered).
