Adding custom images in the nav menu is easy
Adding custom images into the genesis nav menu doesn’t take much. Thanks to Bill Erickson’s post, I tweaked it a little and show the CSS.
If your looking to add some custom images to the primary (or secondary) nav menu in the Genesis framework, take a look at the code below.
Here we have a primary menu with only text (and icons from font awesome…that’s another post.) My client wanted to add “bookend” images to the menu to add a little something extra.
You will need to edit your themes function.php file and styles.css file.
As always, backup your files before you edit any code. This code is using the Genesis framework which I highly recommend. Add the code snippets below to their respective files.
Do not include the…
in the functions file.
